This Week in Chester History…

The Mendham-Chester Tribune announced that former Chesterite Frank Mattison would serve as scoutmaster for Troop 13 at the Washington Jamboree in 1937. Mattison’s troop previously had been named as the official guides. He was assistant scoutmaster of Troop 9 in Chester before he went to the Capitol for a government post. Since he began leading it, Troop 13 grew from six to 47 members.
