This Week in Chester History…

In 1937, John S. Alpaugh celebrated his 91st birthday. The family held a party at his son Amos Alpaugh’s house. John’s sister-in-law, Henrietta Alpaugh of Succasunna also was 91 that week. John owned a farm near Chester for nearly 60 years. Source: Mendham-Chester Tribune
