This Week in Chester History…

In 1972, the Chester Little League coaches played the Volunteer Firemen in their third annual softball contest. Each team won one game, with the Firemen taking the first game 21-8, and the coaches winning the second 18-10. In all three years, the competition totaled one win for the Little League coaches and five wins for the Firemen. Source: Observer-Tribune.
