This Week in Chester History…

In 1937, John Apgar lost control of his car on Route 31, past the intersection of the Chester Road, near his home. His car left the sloping road and ran into a bank. The car flipped over as a result of the crash. Passenger David Apgar, John’s uncle, was severely injured with cuts to his head. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. ¬†Source: Mendham-Chester Tribune.
