This Week in Chester History…
In 1937, Justice of the Peace Herman A. Rademacher, Sr. fined Carlton Lutz $20 and court costs for fishing without a license. Lutz was picked up while casting into the upper pond at Hacklebarney State Park. His companion, 17-year-old Wesley Albert, was charged with using a nine-hook plug, but was only fined costs due to his youth and lack of knowledge of the law. Source: Mendham-Chester Tribune
