This Week in Chester History…

In 1955, Chester Township Police Chief John T. Price died of a heart attack while on duty. He was 57. Officer George L. Francis and the Chief had been called to the Muskrat Inn on Pleasant Hill Road to escort an unruly patron home. After Mrs. Price had called to say her husband had not returned from the police call to the Inn, Officer Francis located his body behind the steering wheel of his car parked outside the Inn.
