This Week in Chester History…

According to the Observer-Tribune, the 1960 school year at Chester Township Elementary School was to be an eventful one due to the implementation of the Ungraded Primary plan. Sixty parents attended the meeting where teachers Mary Lou Nelson, Gladys Hunt, Vivienne Schieman, Vincent Radice, Mable Kossow, and Margaret Kane, as well as Principal Donald Mills explained how the program would work.
