This Week in Chester History…

In 1957, during National Education Week, approximately 120 attendees heard Dr. Van Dyck, pastor of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Morris Plains, speak on juvenile delinquency at the Chester PTA meeting. He blamed juvenile delinquency on “adult delinquency,” exhibited in such minor crimes as exceeding the speed limits. He also spoke on marriage counseling. Source: The Mendham-Chester Tribune
