This Week in Chester History…

In 1955, three white rats from the Budd Mountain Rodent Farm (near the junction of Pottersville Road and Hacklebarney Road) flew on a Navy rocket 20 miles above the Nevada desert. Farm owner Irl Pardy served in both World Wars I and II. The farm was one of the last pieces of property to be sold from the old Budd Estate, which once reached to Budd Lake.
