This Week in Chester Library History — April 21-27, 1974

In 1974, this week was National Library Week. More locally, our Friends of the Library launched a new program on April 26, 1974 —  Craft of the Month. They kicked it off with a lesson on how to create macrame plant hangers, taught by Kathy Appis. Additionally, the Chester Library displayed the artwork of Jay E. Flucker, an art teacher at Black River Middle School, with an open house on April 21, 1974. The exhibit showcased his abstract sculpture, paintings, and works on paper.
