Federated Church of Chester

Federated Church of Chester

Description

In the video above, Herman Rademacher talks about the Federated Church of Chester, comprised of the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches in Chester. The Federated Church began after the Methodist Church, which had been located on Main Street, had burned in a fire. During Herman’s time at the Federated Church, Pastor Emmons desired to combine the churches into a single house of worship. It became the Community Presbyterian Church. Herman met his wife through one of the youth groups at the church.

The image shown below the video features the front of the Federated Church. It shows many leafy trees around the church, and two tall columns at the front entrance.
