This Week in Chester History…

In 1962, Carl Kleiber of Pleasant Hill Road and Eugene O. Vliet, Township Clerk, amongst others, began restoration of the Patrey burial ground on Fox Chase Road. The oldest marked grave belonged to William Patrey, who died in 1818, at 67. In 1925, the New Jersey Genealogical Society recorded the Patreys, Runyons, Craigs, Linabarys, Stulls, Stouts, and Wyckoffs buried there. Source: Observer-Tribune
