The Mendham-Chester Tribune reported that John Apgar lost control of his car at the intersection of the Chester Road and Route 31, in 1937. Also in the car was David Apgar, John’s uncle, who suffered severe injuries and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

In 1937, John Apgar lost control of his car while driving on the Chester Road near Route 31, according to the Mendham-Chester Tribune. His uncle, David Apgar, a passenger in the car, suffered injuries to his head when the car left the sloping road, hit an embankment, and flipped over due to the impact.

In 1937, John Apgar lost control of his car on Route 31, past the intersection of the Chester Road, near his home. His car left the sloping road and ran into a bank. The car flipped over as a result of the crash. Passenger David Apgar, John’s uncle, was severely injured with cuts to his head.
