The Chester Dramatic Association, also known as the “Second-Nighters Dramatic Club,” held their elections for 1937 at the home of Walter Serbe. Dudley Bragg was elected as president, Justin Russell as vice-president, Ruth Hill as secretary, and Walter Serbe was named as assistant secretary. Treasurer was Mae Call. In 1958, The Mendham-Chester Tribune looked back to the days when the Chester Public School was held in Mount Rose at the old Masonic schoolhouse. From 1921-1924, Dudley Bragg taught all eight grades (about 15 students) in one room there.
