Three Chester School Board members were succeeded by Ellsworth W. Stroud, Roland W. Chamberlain, and Caspar Kaffke, in 1937. The Mendham-Chester Tribune said the retiring members were Fred DeHart, Stanley Bodine, and Raymond Croot. The school budget was $18,681.

In 1937, the Mendham-Chester Tribune announced that the Chester School Board elected three new members. They were Ellsworth W. Stroud, Roland W. Chamberlain, and Caspar Kaffke. The combined school budget for the Borough and Township was $18,681.
