This Week in Chester History…

The Mendham-Chester Tribune announced that the Muskrat Inn would have a grand re-opening in 1938. The Inn underwent extensive remodeling by its new owner, Edwin H. Hann, a former Californian. For the celebration, Rockafeller’s orchestra would play and attendees would dance until 1 a.m.


This Week in Chester History…

The Rockafeller Family Orchestra entertained the Democratic Club of Chester at Milltown Hall, in 1937. Everett Skellenger was chairman of the entertainment committee. Square dances as well as modern stepping were the order of the evening. Source: Mendham-Chester Tribune
